Secondly, five major cities have been terrorised by three Shades (they move about, to achieve this coverage). Who can possibly be behind it all?
  • Quest (Hrank): kill hellhound. Reward: spell, in basement: Smite.
  • Quest (Anford): (1) investigate the mine, and find out what is conjouring undead there; (2) kill the gazer beast. Despite the name, it’s just a lizard; (3) kill the Worm Queen. You’ll know her when you see her; she looks suspiciously like a spawner from Geneforge 3.

  • Quest (Bagli): hunt Tolliver.
  • Quest (Mabile): find Vahnatai crystal. Reward: shield ring.

  • There is a bit of a political struggle going on in the Abyss. On one side is Queen Annatolia of Spire, on the other is Blademaster Crewl of Bargha. Each will ask you to kill the other. It’s probably best to stay out of it. However, it turns out Annatolia is in league with the Darkside loyalists, so if you do pick a side Crewl may be a better choice.
  • Quest (Annatolia): Kill Crewl.
  • Quest (Eichler): Find the giant intelligent friendly talking spiders. I don’t think he wants to talk to them or be their friend, however.
